The Fontana Ermes Spa, founded in 1959 by Mr. Ermes Fontana is one of the Parma ham processing firms which can boast a long and solid tradition.
Located in the heart of the Baganza valley, it has managed, through the years, to blend man ancient craft with the most modern technology.
The company is located on an area of around 30.000 square meters and has a production capacity of over 5 million kg between various processing areas, a production of around 350.000 hams per annum and a yearly turnover of 40.000.000 Euros.
Few but strictly necessary natural ingredients, wisely blended and used already in ancient Rome to conserve food, the pure air of the valley and not less important time, are the elements that unmistakeably characterize the “ham with the blue ribbon” of the Fontana Ermes SpA.
The Fontana Ermes Spa is located in Sala Baganza, in the Food Valley, and is specialized in the production of typical Parma high quality delicatessen products , from DOP Parma ham to the typical ham with bone, from coppa of Parma, to rolled pancetta of Parma, salami Felino and all traditional Italian salamis, to Culatello stagionato, and completes its range with the best cold cut products of the Italian Tradition.
Thanks to the most modern working and processing technologies, it is possible to have the whole range of products both whole, bone in and boneless, in pieces or pre-sliced, either in the practical MAP packaging or in the Take Away packaging, even with a “Private Label”. It is actually this pre-sliced range which in the past years has gained great success in sales, leading to big amounts, thanks to the product’s high quality and excellent logistic despatch service which allows daily deliveries directly to the final selling points.
As a matter of fact, the Fontana Ermes Spa is among the few industries with a complete internal production cycle with high risk area for the pre-slicing of Parma ham authorized by the Consortium of Parma ham and strictly controlled by the IPQ (Parma Quality Institute).
The Fontana Ermes Spa has been present on the national market and has been exporting towards Europe, the USA , Canada, Southern America, Asia ,Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, South Africa, for many years, in fact, 45 % of the total turnover is exported and has been approved for export towards, China, Singapore and South Korea. The Fontana Ermes Spa enumerates among its customers the most specialized delicatessens, wholesalers, Catering , Industry and important retail chains in Italy, Europe and all over the world.
